Palmyra
Farm is home to Registered Ayrshires & Holsteins
in historic western Maryland –
just minutes from the Antietam & Gettysburg battlefields.
A 3rd & 4th Generation Family Farm, family members include
Ralph & Terrie, Erin & Ryan Shank and Mary & Mike,
Mark, Michael, Evan & Jordan Creek. Palmyra has been
home to Ayrshires for 44 years and Holsteins for 15 years.
The current rolling herd average for the 115 Ayrshires is
20,636M 3.9% 805F 3.2% 659P and 40 Holsteins currently average
25,935M 3.8% 985F 3.2% 817P. The herd is housed in a freestall
facility and fed a group TMR.
Palmyra Farm has had over 86 All-American Ayrshire Nominations
and over 42 All-American Ayrshires.
In 2004, 2005 & 2006, the herd was honored to be
named the Premier Breeder & Premier Exhibitor of the
Ayrshire show at World Dairy Expo and Premier Breeder in
2007. They were also recognized as Premier Breeder
and Exhibitor at the 2006
& 2007 All-American Dairy Show. |
