First to Bring Investors and Property Experts Together
Denver, CO…..The American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA), whose members are recognized as America’s rural property experts, will bring land investors and fund managers together with farm managers, rural appraisers and agricultural consultants at the AgroNomics – Vision 2012 Conference in Phoenix, Arizona October 24-28, 2011. The event, being held in conjunction with the 82nd Annual Meeting of the ASFMRA at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort, will feature training and program sessions, education courses, networking opportunities and an industry trade show.
An increased interest among national and international investors and fund managers to acquire US farm land inspired the development of the AgroNomics Conference. “There is so much that the members of ASFMRA can offer those who are investing in or looking to invest in farm land,” said conference chair, Jeff Berg, ARA. “We can provide the expertise needed for them to be the most responsible stewards for the dollars invested.” According to Berg, the opportunity to bring investors and the rural land professionals of ASFMRA together under one roof is truly a win-win.
Event organizers have built a strong program with select industry speakers who will address the many facets involved with farm land investing. Larry Stenberg, Grain Leader with Dow AgroSciences is scheduled to open the conference with his presentation on ‘An Economic Outlook for US Agriculture in 2011 and Beyond.’ Other speakers include David Kruse from Grupo Iowa, Jerry Davis with the New Orleans Employees Retirement Fund, James McCandless of UBS Agrivest, LLC, Richard Brockmeyer from Wine Industry Investment Consulting, Jennifer Shaw from Syngenta and Dr. Robert Fraley from Monsanto. Topics range from Opportunities for Investors, Managers, Valuers and Consultants, to International Investing and Ag Investment Due Diligence.
